Many organizations have ongoing meetings. Many of these meetings are listed below, in addition to appearing under the appropriate month.

American Herbalist Guild (AHG) Iowa Chapter. Meetings are the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm. Meetings are normally held at Ancient Ways 1700 Woodland Avenue.

API (Attachment Parenting International): Meets the second Tuesday of each month, 7:00 PM, at the Community Center in Valley Junction (on 5th Street in West Des Moines).

Des Moines Babywearing: Meets the first Tuesday of every month, 10:00, Village Learning Center, 733 19th Street.

Des Moines Cloth Diapering: Meets the first Tuesday of every month, 10:00, Village Learning Center, 733 19th Street.

Mindful Living Group: Meetings vary. RSVP Required.

Greendrinks: Meets the last Thursday of every month, 6:00-8:00 PM, Raccoon River Brewery. It is an opportunity for people who work in the environmental field to meet up for a beer, wine or drink of your choice, at an informal gathering to network.

Holistic Families of Des Moines : Meets the first Wednesday of every month, 9:30 am. Quarterly evening meetings. See website for location information. (it's a Facebook page.)

HFDM Playgroup: Meets every week on Fridays at 10:00 am, locations vary. See website for locations.

ICAN (International Cesearean Awareness Network): Meets the first Tuesday of each month, 6:30 PM business meeting, 8:00 support group, Urbandale Library Meeting Room.

La Leche League: Meets the first Thursday of each month, 7 PM, Grace United Methodist Church, Room 207, 3700 Cottage Grove Ave in Des Moines. Also meets the second Friday of each month, 10:00 AM, West Des Moines United Methodist Church, 720 Grand Ave. Ankeny group meets the third Wednesday of every month, 10 AM, at the Ankeny Church of Christ, 224 SW 3rd St.

Mama Milk for Toddlers: Meets the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00am at the West Des Moines Methodist Church (720 Grand Ave), in the nursery on the upper floor.

NOAH: Meets the first Monday of every month. Nourishing Organic Affectionate Homes. Focuses on healthy food and natural living. Please contact Teresa for meeting location and time.

Sample Sundays. Not a group, but an ongoing event. Sample the offerings at several farms in the Woodward area.
